SVG Contest closes Friday

Just a quick update on our “No Bit, Sherlock” competition, where you can win some great prizes like XBoxes, Mindstorms and a SONY Vaio just for building an SVG button, or progress control.

There’s plenty of great examples you can learn from (remember, “view source” is not a sin, it’s how we all learned everything we know!), including this one from Doug Schepers.

So, you’ve got a few days to go to town, learn something new, and be very much in the running for some very cool prizes.

And if you want a great looking overview of SVG, done in SVG, see Doug’s sides from our recent @media conference.

I’m interested in seeing the results. When can I find the entries?

You hurt my feelings. I saw this contest and thought..“wow, awesome I have 3 days to enter”. Then later on I noticed the date says June. Shame on me for not paying more attention I guess, but you may want to update your content to something like, “And the winners of the SVG contest are.…” Just a thought. I appreciate the site regardless.

The nobitsherlock.com details say “from now, until June 18 at midnight” without specifying a year, so you could get some folks sending entries in 2011. Maybe time to announce the contest is over?
