Australian “web 2.0″ apps

Over at Read/Write Web, one of the most widely read blogs covering the web business/technology scene (and founded by New Zealander Richard McManus, making it an antipodean cousin of sorts) there’s a list of 60 Australian “Web 2.0 companies” (which I guess these days means web companies but by adding the 2.0 it makes them sexier or something ;-) )

Some of these are very successful long standing companies, others I’ve not heard of. But great to see so many in one place.

FreshView, home of Campaign Monitor seem a pretty glaring omission. What other apps and companies are out there? Let us know.

  1. Does anyone know what makes a Web 2.0 company? I think maybe we need more reflections on the Freshview site…
