Web Directions North wrap-up
In a crazy moment on chat in the middle of last year, Derek Featherstone, Dave Shea, and founders of Web Directions South (then just called Web Directions), decided to bring the Web Directions experience to the Northern hemisphere, and chose the least freezing place in Canada in February to do so. The attraction of one of the world’s great ski resorts (and home of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic games) on the doorstep had nothing, of course to do with it.
I won’t go into labourious detail, you can head over to the WDN part of the site for all the on and off piste details.
Despite the challenges of geography, time zone, international regulations, and more, it was, without doubt, and according to everyone, a tremendous success.
Right now, you’ll find live bogging from most session, and slides from many, at the North site, with podcasts coming soon. So subscribe to the RSS feed to keep up to speed.
But no rest for us, with Web Directions South to get sorted (bigger, and better, new venue, even broader focus, but keeping the flame for standards based design and development, and the same timeframe - end of September), plus quite a bit more happening online and off in the coming weeks and months.
Keep an eye on this site for news in the coming days and weeks.

Agree with Nick - Hey we are all so looking forward to Sept.
So are we going to hear about WDS07 goodness after crazy March (considering all the web events in March), if its just a hint like.. “yes it will happen” (like you promised last year) :)
