We are fast coming up on a milestone that when we started this crazy web directions thing a few years ago, if you’d told me we’d be anywhere near, I would have doubted your sanity. Last year we went just past 500 attendees, and we are again nearing that pretty amazing number.

I think it is a huge testament to the strength of the Australian web industry, that with a population a small fraction of that in Europe and the US, we get such an amazing turnout. Each year we get an incredible turnout of folks who came in previous years (including quite a few who’ve come to every one of our conferences!), as well as a great many new attendees – some new to the industry, some old hands who’ve only just heard about the conference, some making the decision to come for the first time.

So, to make a little gesture for such a great turnout, the 500th person to sign up for the conference will come for free!

All you have to do is register, and if you are lucky number 500, then we’ll let you know right away.

Thanks to all who have come in the past, and are coming this year. We are counting down the days until what we are sure will be our best event yet, and hope you are as excited about next week as we are.
