Year round learning for product, design and engineering professionals

Announcing Ignite Web in Melbourne April 1st – brought to you by Web Directions

After the success of the first two Ignite events in Sydney, the first, highly focussed Ignite event is coming to Melbourne in April.

Ignite events are now held round the world, and have a very distinctive feature – each presentation comprises 20, 15 second auto advanced slides for exactly 3 5 minutes of presentation per presenter.

This event will feature highly web focussed presentations, and the best bit is, it’s open to anyone to present. People are often asking us how they can take their first steps to presenting at events like Web Directions, and presenting at events like Ignite are great for that. You get to hone a presentation, and practice in front of a crowd eager to be entertained (and likely sympathetic due to some strategically positioned free drinks courtesy of Web Directions ;-)

Whether you are keen to present, or just mix and mingle with your peers, it’s free, and a high energy great night.

These events have been very popular to date and places, while free are limited, so to book your place, or express your interest in speaking, register now.

We do know the timing and the name in light of the recent tragic bushfires is not perfect, but we have given a good deal of thought to that issue, and it’s outlined at the Ignite site.
