Web Directions Year round learning for product, design and engineering professionals

A few weeks back, we published the results of our first State of the Web survey, and over 1200 web designers, developers, and others in the web industry responded, giving some valuable, and unique insights into the technologies, philosophies and practices of today’s web professionals.

Following on from this, next week at Web Directions North, we’ve assembled representatives from some of the most important organizations and companies shaping the web today, for a “State of the Web” session. So, here’s your chance to ask them your questions about the direction they and their organizations see the web headed, and how their efforts are shaping that.

If you are keen to ask any or all of the following about the state of web technologies and browsers, then leave a comment here, and we’ll choose a representative sample to ask at the session.

Participants include

• Chris Wilson, co-chair of the HTML Working Group, and Platform Architect for Internet Explorer
• Lars Erik Bolstad, head of Opera Software’s Core Technology Department which develops Opera’s cross-platform rendering engine “Presto”
• Dan Connolly, W3C, who needs little if any introduction
• Scott Fergette, Adobe Systems.

And maybe one or two late entrants as well.

So, fire away with any questions you’d like to ask these folks, and we’ll put them to them in Denver next week.
