Year round learning for product, design and engineering professionals

Announcing Web Directions 2015

Ok, we really need to dust off this blog. And indeed we’re working on that. But in the meantime, we’re really excited to announce our flagship event for the year, Web Directions 2015.

Once again, Web Directions features two tracks–one focussed on Web and Front End Engineering, and one focussed on Product and Design, with speakers from Industry leading companies and organisations around the World including BuzzFeed, the UK Government Digital Service, Shopify, Financial Times, Twitter, Google and beyond.

And as always there’s a number of amazing keynotes speakers lined up including

  • Tom Loosemore, who has headed up the innovative UK Government Digital Service, a model used around the world as the basis for building effective Government services online
  • Cap Watkins, Creative Director at BuzzFeed
  • The ever popular Hannah Donovan, Head of Product at Ripcord (and formerly head of design at Last.fm)

But why not head over to the Web Directions 2015 site, and get a sense of the scale, breadth, and deep relevance of this year’s program.

We’ve also got an amazing new venue, Sydney’s Luna Park. Easily accessed from the city, or North Sydney, and right on the Harbour, it’s going to add another dimension to the event, not least because on Thursday night we have several iconic rides to ourselves for our traditional opening night drinks.

We’re also bringing back a Web Directions tradition, world class Masterclasses from world leading experts, with

  • An advanced JavaScript masterclass from the renowned Eric Elliott
  • A front end ops masterclass from Shopify’s Kitt Hodsden
  • A Responsive Web Design masterclass from the founder of Smashing Mag, Vitaly Friedman

all taking place on October 28th, the only negative is you can only do one!

It all takes place at the end of October, and we hope to see you there.
