Via Stephen Collins I’ve just come across a fan­tas­tic look­ing great value evening in Sydney on Monday night (May 12^th).

Billed as “an evening of inter­est­ing­ness”, Interesting South is an eclec­tic assort­ment of fas­ci­nat­ing speak­ers, cov­er­ing all man­ner of stuff — Bus Network design, con­scious­ness in ani­mals, indus­trial inno­va­tion, how to make the per­fect mar­tini, a short his­tory of pho­tog­ra­phy, and more in this vein. All in 3 and a half short hours, at the Belvoir Street Theatre, and all for $35

Sadly, I don’t think I’ll have time to get along, but it’s exactly the kind of eclec­tic, cross dis­ci­pli­nary gath­er­ing I love.
