Joomla developer? Keen to participate in a panel at WDS08?

We’re looking for a Joomla expert to help us out with one of the panels in the development track at Web Directions South this year. This session, to be run by Lucas Chan, is going to showcase the strengths and weaknesses of a number of backend frameworks in a fun, maybe slightly competitive, though never dogmatic, spirit. The aim of the panel is for less experiences developers and managers to get a bit of a handle on how to make these sorts of decisions. At the same time we hope to have a bit of audience participation from more experienced developers willing to share their opinions and expertise. It’s my wish that no one will get bloody on their shirts, and everyone will learn something. We shall see :)

We’d be really like to have Joomla represented, so if you’re a Joomla developer and you think you’ve got what it takes, please let me know.

There will obviosusly be a little work in preparing for this — in fact the one thing I want to avoid even more than blood on anyone’s shirt is one of those ill prepared, self indulgent panels like so many you see at SXSW — though not at much as a full on presentation I shouldn’t imagine.

Of course, participating gets you a free ticket to the conference as well.
