UI Developer

Responsible for the design and implementation of software, specializing in the user-​​interface of the product.

Key Areas

  • Polish and consistency of the user interface
  • Deliver Software Releases with minimal defects, specifically, close-​​to-​​zero “basic” defects.
  • Advance and promote the use of Javascript, CSS and AJAX toolkits in the products

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the usability and design team to define the UI mockups
  • Implement page designs in standards-​​compliant dynamic HTML and CSS
  • Implement functionality in JavaScript, Java/​JSP and using AJAX
  • Work closely with back-​​end developers
  • Writing automated functional tests for the UI

Key Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Some experience in Java web development
  • Experience using AJAX and JavaScript toolkits, e.g. jQuery, Prototype, etc.
  • Proficiency with design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Fireworks
  • Excellent communication skills
