Usability — the word on everyone’s lips this week

Lisa Herrod has been breath­ing a bit of life into the local scene by turn­ing the Social Usability Professionals Association mee­tups into a reg­u­lar event at The Arthouse in Pitt St. If you haven’t been before, these are a great oppor­tu­nity to mix with other local usabil­ity and UX peo­ple in a casual atmosphere.

You don’t have to be a UPA mem­ber to attend, if you’re work­ing in the area of UX or inter­ested in it, come along. It’s all about catch­ing up, meet­ing, mix­ing and talk­ing shop.

But it’s not all just hap­pen­ing in Sydney though. On the train­ing front, Tania Laing of Peak Usability, who will be speak­ing at Web Directions later this year, is also host­ing a col­lec­tion of full day work­shops in Melbourne Brisbane and Sydney next month:
