Web Directions South 2008 - We have Webjam!

Maxine

Some very exciting news for everyone who’s going to be in town for Web Directions South 2008. Those four days in September just got even better with the Webjam team announcing that the all new Webjam 8 will happen at Bar Broadway on September 25, right after our opening night drinks. So I think you can consider your dance card well and truly booked up for that night.

Make sure you rsvp at the Webjam site if you’re keen to come along, as this will be a big night. Even better - got something cool you’d like to talk about for 3 minutes? Present it at Webjam and prizes and glory could be yours!

Woot! Thanks for sharing the love, Maxine! We’ve already got over a hundred attendees signed up. This is going to be massive!

It seems only fair that you should also mention the AussieTUB - an all-Australia Twitter Meetup that’s happening at the same time.

While I’m involved with neither as an organiser, I do face the dilemma of choosing which to attend or somehow splitting my time. I want to be at and support both as I know both organisers.

It seems the two sets of organisers were buried in their organising and didn’t surface to see each other preparing clashing (and notionally competitive) events.

The audiences are likely to be very similar, with some bits that don’t cross over. Webjam maybe more tech with AussieTUB possibly bringing in more of the PR/media/ad community.

Anyhow, AussieTUB is on Facebook at http://www.new.facebook.com/event.php?eid=24452144604 and will be on Upcoming soon.

We would like to wish both camps all the best and hope the community supports both events with gusto!
